What’s New at Gunly – May 2026
We shipped a handful of updates this month to help your store get found, keep customers in the loop, and make onboarding smoother.
Your customers can now receive text message updates when they place an order. That includes confirmation, shipping, and delivery alerts. It’s currently in beta. Reach out to our team to get it turned on for your store.
We’ve rolled out llms.txt across all Gunly sites. This helps AI search engines and large language models better understand your store, so when someone asks “where can I buy a Glock 19 near me,” your shop has a better shot at showing up. It’s part of our push into generative engine optimization (GEO), making sure your store is visible wherever people search, not just Google.
We’ve overhauled our service page generator. The pages we create during onboarding for FFL transfers, gunsmithing, cerakoting, and other services are now more detailed and better optimized for high-intent local searches like “gunsmith near me” or “FFL transfer in [your city].” If you’re already live and want your service pages refreshed, reach out.
We’ve improved the structured data on service pages with richer local business and product schema. This gives search engines more context about what you do and where you are, which means better visibility in local results and rich snippets.
We’ve added new content blocks for blog posts, including a new page header block.
We’ve made improvements to how the product catalog loads and fixed a number of bugs.
We’re working on a few things we’re excited about. A new support system is on the way with live chat in your dashboard, SMS support, phone support with a callback option so you never have to wait on hold, and a help center. We’re also building a dashboard analytics view where you’ll be able to see where your traffic is coming from, what’s performing, and how your store is growing. More on both soon.
